You would love a cruise! Whether you love to party or relax, you’ve got the choice. Since you’ve done a land vacation, I would recommend that you give a cruise a try! For one week at an all inclusive luxury resort in the Caribbean, it would cost the same amount for a cruise, however, the advantage is that you get to see more islands for the same amount of money without sacrificing any of the luxury. I would recommend a Southern Caribbean itinerary that embarks from San Juan, Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico is a real treat). Talk to a travel agent and see what options they have that fit you and your fiancée.

Don’t get me wrong, land resorts are a nice way to travel, but it’s kind of the, "When you’ve done it once, you’ve done it all" kind of thing. A cruise is a great way to travel, and you get a different experience EVERY time, since you’re going to a new place every day. They have broadway-style performances in large, professionally designed theaters on cruise ships, if you like entertainment, live bands at the poolside that play Calypso (since it’s the Caribbean), and the food is great! Since the food is free, don’t be surprised if you eat all the time! haha. There are also fully-equipped gyms and luxury spas on board if you want to exercise and unwind. There is always more than one thing going on while on a cruise ship. It would take me a while to list them all for you.

My last word would be to talk to a travel agent, but to also venture the cruise idea. Take it from me and a million others when I say that a cruise is an amazing experience that everyone should try at least once. Don’t get me wrong, land vacations are fun and have their attractions, but a cruise is truly a unique and addicting experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic, yet active and having the choice of partying, I recommend you look at Princess Cruises. Their whole idea is focused around giving couples a romantic, relaxing, yet active and exciting time on board. Cruising is quickly becoming the #1 way to vacation/honeymoon, and for a good reason. You would really enjoy it!

Good luck!

Oh, and if you do decide to take a cruise, I would recommend on booking your flight the day before and booking a hotel the day before at your departure port/island. This way you can take all day traveling and not having to worry about getting to the ship, you won’t be jet-lagged and you can enjoy the sail-away party, and you will be able to spend a whole day experiencing the city/island that you’re on. For an extra $100 or so for a hotel, I’d say it’s worth it.

The only way to go is on a cruise ship. Ports of Miami Port Canaveral have more sailings.
The ship offers. meals, snacks, 24 hour room service, entertainment, deck sports, pools, hot tubs, dances library, and privacy.
Book and inside cabin (guarantee) as you spend very little time there( except honeymooning and sleeping. Best sites are vacationstogo.com and cruisedeals.com You can get 7days for under $100 a day per person and careful shopping will get near $50.
No resort comes close! Ask about including airfare (cheaper).

My husband and I went to Aruba last March for 5 nights and we had a great time. It was nice to be someplace relaxing and warm. =)

We didn’t stay here but they seem to have a pretty good deal: http://www.amsterdammanor.com/en/honeymoon_packages.html We ate at Passions one night and it was great. In fact, all of the restaurants we went to on the island were fantastic. Also, the beach at that hotel is lovely - very wide and quiet. It’s also only a 5 minute cab ride away from the "busy" hotel section where there are lots of restaurants, bars, casinos, etc.

I Recomment Barcelo Solymar Resort in Varadero, Cuba.
We went for a wedding, as a family and the youngest was 14 at the time, though its great for couples because this is one resort that doesnt have alot of kids running around.
We are also from Toronto, and met some people from Oshawa who said this hotel was the better than any theyve stayed at in cuba so far.
The coffee is disgusting, ill give you that, but the booze is great.
the a la carte restaurants are really good, and the buffet is decent, though you may get sick of it by the end of your trip.
in the lobby of the hotel there are extra activities you can sign up to do like swim with the dolphins, day trip to havana, or go fishing (you need to pay extra for this, but a bus takes you there and back).
It was an amazing trip, one of the best parts was the $4.00 rum bottles we got to bring home.

Unfortunately, i’m not sure what the prices are for it. At the time we went we were with an entire wedding group and prices were different.

    Dear Vacation Seeker,

A couple of years ago my Canadian cousin and his wife came to my island Curacao. They traveled with a Canadian airways company that had flights every saturday from Toronto to Curacao. Really I do not know if those flights still exist.

Here is a travel guide of Curacao http://www.curacao-travelguide.com/.

Most probably you will find a solution for your honeymoon that is going to happen. Have a safe journey!

    Be welcome = Bon bini!

St John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, is a lovely historic town with plenty of great attractions, shopping, dining, and activities. Located in a large but protected bay in the northwest of the island of Antigua, St John’s provides not only a spectacularly scenic area for tourists, but also a safe port of call in the event of bad weather, as most Caribbean storms approach from the east.
